Marcus Eaton - 15U Manager

Marcus enters his 4th year with Watson Baseball, 2nd as Manager. Marcus grew up in Kanata playing baseball locally with Kanata Little League, Ottawa Nepean Canadians and moving to Toronto to play for the Ontario Blue Jays.  


Eaton’s versatility led him to playing both middle infield as well as corner outfield positions with the Ontario Blue Jays, earning him a roster spot with Iowa Lakes CC, in Estherville, Iowa. 


Currently finishing his degree at Carleton University, Marcus has coached with WB Elite for the past 3 seasons. Coaching alongside Tanner, and Greg Hamilton. Marcus brings a well rounded understanding of player development, infield play and a calm intensity to the 15U team. 

Matt Linder - 15U Pitching Coach

Matt grew up in Thunder Bay, On. Playing his baseball with Thunder Bay Little League before playing for the Ohio Thunder and Team Ontario. Matt continued to stand out gaining the attention of scouting departments for various MLB organizations. 


The 6-5 right hander was selected in the 8th Round of the 2003 MLB draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. Moving on to play 4 years in the Phillies system. 


Matt finished up his degree in economics at Lakehead University, prior to moving to Ottawa Matt worked/lived in the Toronto area. Matt continues his passion for baseball in Ottawa through volunteering with the Miracle League of Ottawa. 


Watson Baseball is proud to welcome Matt to the Program where the former professional  RHP will use his passion, and understanding of pitching to teach and prepare our 15U pitchers for the season to come. 

Chris Latimer - 15U Coach

Chris played his Little League baseball in CFR before moving on to play top competition in Ontario, and the US with the Ottawa White Sox and Ottawa Nepean-Canadians, winning a Silver Medal in the 2001 Summer Games and participating in numerous high level US tournaments. 


Chris continued his studies attending St Francis Xavier University where he captained the baseball team from 2006-2008.  Chris graduated and went on to play for the Woden Rebels of the Australian Capital Territory League, hitting .300 while playing 2nd Base.  He also helped coaching various levels of the organization throughout his stay in Australia. 


Chris returned to Ottawa to play 2B for the Ottawa Fat Cats of the Intercounty Baseball League, featuring many past professional players. Chris made the transition to sharing his baseball knowledge by coaching various Watson Elite Baseball Clinics and as an infield coach for 2 years with the Watson Elite Baseball Teams  Chris has been involved since the inception of Watson Baseball and and we look forward to his continued input with our program.  

Connor "CJ " Jones

Connor grew up in Kanata playing for  Kanata Little League and then moved onto Ottawa Nepean Canadians playing for Tanner Watson for 2 years. 


Primarily a Catcher , CJ used his versatility to play 1st Base and Corner outfield. Jones continued to pursue baseball while attending Durham College in Oshawa. CJ worked himself into the line up with his ability to play multiple positions and using his plate discipline to help the team.  


Cj will work mostly in games with the 16U team, he will oversee catching for the two programs as well as working  with our hitters preparing them and catchers for the 2019-2020 campaign.
